What
is TIME for Teachers Online?
To increase
reading success for your students, the Stern Center presents TIME
for Teachers Online, a professional development program designed
for teachers who want to learn more about current research-based reading
instruction and strategies for implementation in the classroom. Increase
your knowledge of explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics,
and fluency. Learn more about how speech maps to print to ensure reading
success and enrich literature-based instruction. Empower your students
to read at grade level by the end of third grade. With TIME Online,
you can learn at your own pace, on your own schedule, in your own space!

What
do other educators have to say about TIME for Teachers?
Before
developing this Internet course, Stern Center staff taught TIME for
Teachers for six years to "live" audiences. Here is what
some of those 2,000 participants had to say about this course:
"I learned more in 5 days than in 2 years of graduate
school and 4 years of practice."
"Every teacher should be required to take this course."
"Given the tools and knowledge I have now, being able to teach
every child to read seems so much more attainable."
