Evaluation Team
Greta D’Agostino, B.A., Diagnostics Intake Coordinator, handles all inquiries about evaluation services, schedules evaluation appointments and sends evaluation reports. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the Rutgers University. Prior to coming to the Stern Center, she was the Patient Services Coordinator for the Cancer Hope Network in New Jersey. Greta is happy to help families of students coming from out of state with options for travel and accommodations.
Thomas Wieland, M.S., M.A., C.A.S., Program Manager for Evaluations, is a certified school psychologist in New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont, and is also certified as a building principal and school district administrator in New York and Vermont. He received the Bachelor's degree in psychology from Houghton College, the Master of Science degree in educational psychology and the Certificate of Advanced Studies in school psychology from the State University of New York at Albany. He has also completed graduate level training in educational administration at The State University of New York at Cortland. Tom has worked for 28 years in public and private k-12 schools as a school psychologist and as an educational administrator. He completed the Master of Arts degree in mental health counseling in June of 2011 and has provided individual counseling services to adolescents and adults. Tom's professional passion is expressed in the development of collaborative approaches to the evaluation and treatment of individual learning and adjustment concerns.
Jesse Abess, M.A. CAS, Educational Diagnostician, provides comprehensive evaluations to students of all ages. In addition to an undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton, Jesse holds a Master's in School Psychology from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He has had extensive experience working with and assisting students particularly at the elementary and middle school grade levels as a School Psychologist Intern and Student Support Specialist. His primary professional interests include learning disabilities, adolescent learning and emotional issues, attention problems, and traumatic brain injury.
Sage Bagnato, M.Ed., Educational Diagnostician, provides comprehensive evaluations to students of all ages. In addition to an undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, Sage holds a Teaching Certification and Master’s in Teaching from the University of San Francisco and a Master’s in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Sage previously was an Educational Specialist at the Institute for Learning and Development in Lexington, Massachusetts, and has worked as an elementary and middle school teacher. Sage has extensive experience in the area of executive functioning, having worked and published with Dr. Lynn Meltzer.
Nancy Clements, M.A., CCC-SLP, Social Communication, Language, and Early Literacy Program Manager, provides communication and social thinking assessment and consultation for infants, preschoolers, school-age children, and adolescents. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science from Elmira College and her Master’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Bowling Green State University. Nancy completed her Clinical Fellowship in preschool and elementary schools in Vermont and most recently completed a Certified Clinical Internship through Michelle Garcia Winner’s Center for Social Thinking in San Jose, California. Her areas of clinical expertise include differential diagnosis of communication and socially based challenges.
Christina Colletti, Ph.D., Clinical Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow, provides cognitive, educational, and psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hamilton College, her Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Oklahoma State University, and her Doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Vermont. She has significant experience providing assessment and treatment of behavioral and emotional disorders in children and adolescents, as well as experience providing cognitive, psychoeducational, and psychological evaluations for children with behavioral, emotional, and learning problems. Prior to coming to the Stern Center, she provided assessment and treatment to children and adolescents as a post-doctoral fellow at the Behavior Therapy and Psychotherapy Center at the University of Vermont.
Mary Cotton, M.A., CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist, provides speech/language evaluations and instruction for preschoolers, school age children and adolescents. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the College of Wooster and her Master’s degree from Case Western Reserve, both in Communication Science Disorders. Mary’s professional interests include early childhood language and literacy development, speech and oral language disorders in school age children, and social thinking.
Julie Erdelyi, M.A., Autism Specialist, Social Communication, Language, and Early Literacy Curriculum Coordinator, provides evaluations,consultation and instruction. She has a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Vermont and a Master’s degree in special education – developmental disabilities from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has extensive experience as a Special Educator and Autism Specialist designing and implementing academic instruction, proactive behavior intervention plans, and social thinking instruction for elementary school students who have Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has presented at local and national conferences and recently was published in the Autism Asperger's Digest Magazine.
Jackie Earle-Cruickshanks, M.A., M.S., Distinguished Language Specialist and Diagnostician, performs evaluations and consultations for students of all ages. She received a Master’s degree in Special Education from the University of Connecticut with a concentration in learning disabilities and a Master’s degree in school psychology from St. Lawrence University. Experienced as a special and regular educator, as well as a school psychologist, she has been working at the Stern Center for over ten years. Jackie has directed the instructional clinic and professional development programs, including the Vermont Lab School initiative.
Frances Ingram, M.A., NCSP, Educational Diagnostician, assesses students of all ages. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from Douglass College and her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Fran has extensive experience as a school psychologist collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams. She has taught preschool and kindergarten students and worked with high risk adolescents. Fran is interested in refinement of the evaluation process and dynamic assessment to not only understand how students learn best but also to maximize opportunities to evaluate response to intervention (RTI).
Sharon Leach, Ph.D., Clinical Neuropsychologist& Licensed Psychologist - Doctorate, provides neuropsychological and psychological evaluations to individuals of all ages, addressing medical treatment, psychotherapeutic intervention, and academic needs. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California San Diego, and both her Master’s degree and Doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Miami. Sharon has significant experience evaluating medical, developmental, and social-emotional issues including traumatic brain injury, seizure disorders, brain tumor, developmental disorders, toxic exposure, and psychiatric issues. She integrates academic needs and environments with neuropsychological profiles for students with significant learning challenges.
Julia Molson, Psy.D., Licensed Psychologist, is Supervising Psychologist of the School Consultation Service of the Pediatric Psychiatry Fellowship at the Stern Center, where since 2000 she has conducted hundreds of cognitive, educational, and psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Molson received her Psy.D. in Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford. She has particular interest and expertise in providing assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, and young adults with social relatedness difficulties, attention problems, learning disabilities, depression, and anxiety. She is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at University of Vermont College of Medicine.
Lori G. Van Allen, M.S., NCSP, Educational Diagnostician, performs psychoeducational evaluations for students of all ages, with specific expertise diagnosing, accommodating, and advising adolescents and adults with learning disabilities as they transition between high school, college, postgraduate education, and work. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in psychology/sociology from Miami University and her Master’s in school psychology from Syracuse University. For over twenty years, she has developed, expanded, and coordinated services for students with disabilities at colleges and universities, reviewed disability documentation for the Educational Testing Service, and given numerous presentations regarding transition to college. Her special areas of interest include information processing, brain-behavior relationships, individualized diagnostic assessment/task analysis, learning disability subtypes, and disability law.
Stefanie Waite, M.Ed., Educational Diagnostician, performs language and learning assessments for students of all ages. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from St. Anselm College and a Master’s degree in education from St. Michael’s College. Stefanie was a classroom teacher prior to receiving a post-graduate training at the Stern Center and serving as the coordinator of instructional programs for all kinds of learners. Her areas of special interest include learning disabilities, literacy, writing, giftedness, and oral language.
Coreen Woodbury, MS, CCC-SLP, Speech Language Pathologist, performs communications evaluations and instruction for preschool and school-age students. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of New Hampshire and holds an Educational Speech Language Pathology Endorsement. Coreen’s professional interests include early childhood language and literacy development, oral speech and language disorders in school age
