Why Your Donation Matters
Donations make it possible for more families and educators to access essential, high-quality Stern Center services at costs they can afford. Your gift will change the lives of learners who struggle with reading, writing, and mathematics.
The Stern Center's total budget for fiscal year 2009 is $3.3 million. Of that, 77% or $2.5 million is used directly for programs and services to our clients (students, parents, educators, health care professionals).
Of our total funding, service revenues (evaluations, instruction, and teacher training) constitute $2 million, and gifts and grants constitute $1.3 million. Those two revenue sources are directly related. In order to maintain the highest quality services at accessible fee levels, we must receive at least 40% of our revenue from gifts and grants.
