Participants will apply text structure and vocabulary knowledge to the reading and writing of various genres. Writing templates will be shared to help teachers develop the characteristics of specific genres and to help teachers solidify new knowledge into a cohesive whole. This workshop will also be helpful in teaching students to write a constructive response necessary for active participation in readers' workshop activities as well as the NECAP assessments.
This session is designed to support students across Tiers 1, 2, and 3.
