Shared Book Reading Strategies to Build Vocabulary, Comprehension and Conversation

Presented by BUILDING BLOCKS FOR LITERACY ® Coordinator, Brenda Buzzell, M.Ed., at the 2011 Annual Bennington County Child Care Association Early Childhood Conference, "Reach for the Stars!" November 5, 2011. Attendees participated in research-based, developmentally appropriate activities using children's books. These activities, designed to promote vocabulary development, comprehension, and conversation are immediately transferrable for practice in family homes and classrooms.
