A NOTE FROM A STERN CENTER ALUMNI
I struggled with reading and my mind was focused on the fact that I couldn’t do it - that it was impossible.

Being tutored at the Stern Center not only improved my reading skills tremendously, it also changed that mindset. With the help of my incredible tutor, I was able to build confidence in my learning.

How it Works

Schools and individual educators are invited to submit proposals for professional learning, which may be eligible to receive underwriting grants. Both opportunities are subject to continued availability of funds.

  • Reduce fees for instruction to students of middle income families.
  • Grant awards to schools and educators to help underwrite professional learning.
  • Establish an endowment to ensure the Institute’s perpetuity..
