Higher Education Student Support

The Stern Center offers support services to higher education students.   Stern Center instructors deliver research-based interventions for adult learners with unique profiles. Studies have shown that students significantly benefit when both content knowledge and targeted learning strategies are combined.  Financial assistance for adult learners is available through the Stern Center. 

Collaborations:

University of Vermont College of Medicine 

UVM medical students may access the Immediate Assistance Program, a collaboration with the UVM College of Medicine.   Stern Center instructors can meet with students at UVM or at the Stern Center.  Contact Ann Chauncey, E215 Given Building, COM, UVM Burlington, VT 05405 or 802-656-2153 or ann.chauncey@uvm.edu.  

Champlain College

All Champlain College students may access the Academic Coaching Program and can receive the first three sessions free of charge.  Stern Center instructors can meet with students at Champlain College or at the Stern Center.   Contact Janine Allo, 504 Coordinator, Counseling Center, Champlain College, Student Life Office, Hauke Building Office 007, Burlington, VT  05401 or 865-5484 or  jallo@champlain.edu.

Please bring a completed Entrance Survey with you to your first session.
