School Consultation Leadership Team

Julia Molson, Psy.D.

 Dr. Julia Molson is Supervising Psychologist of the School Consultation Service of the Pediatric Psychiatry Fellowship at the Stern Center, where since 2000 she has conducted hundreds of cognitive, educational, and psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Molson received her Psy.D. in Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology from the University of Hartford.  She has particular interest and expertise in providing assessment and treatment to children, adolescents, and young adults with social relatedness difficulties, attention problems, learning disabilities, depression, and anxiety. She is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at University of Vermont College of Medicine.

Blanche Podhajski, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

 Dr. Blanche Podhajski is Rotation Director of the School Consultation Service of the Pediatric Psychiatry Fellowship. President and Founder of the Stern Center, Dr. Podhajski received her Ph.D. in Communication Disorders, specializing in learning disabilities, from Northwestern University. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. Dr. Podhajski has forty years of experience in the differential diagnosis of language learning disorders. Dr. Podhajski is Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Robert Johnston, M.D.

Robert JohnstonDr. Robert Johnston is a second year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow at Fletcher Allen Healthcare. He attended medical school at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. Dr. Johnston completed an adult psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Hospital prior to coming to Vermont for the fellowship. His clinical interests especially include incorporating family treatment and dynamics, and his research interests include the effects of electronic media on children and adolescents.

Alisson Richards, M.D.

Alisson RichardsDr. Alisson Richards graduated with a B.S. in Microbiology and a B.A. in English from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. While pursuing her M.D. at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas, her research included pharmacology, childhood mental health, and psychiatry. Dr. Richards completed her adult psychiatry residency at the University of Vermont/Fletcher Allen Health Care and entered specialty fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Her professional interests include autism spectrum illness and developmental disorders, adolescents, children with special medical needs, and systems of care issues.
