Informal Assessment
Using non-standardized tests to help with educational program design and progress monitoring
Prescriptive Program Design
Designing curriculum for specific skill areas such as phonological awareness, structured language, reading comprehension, written expression, social skills, study skills, and math
Individual Education Program (IEP) Development
Using evaluation data to assist in developing IEPs suitable for students with unique learning profiles, incorporating appropriate teaching strategies, and designing creative service delivery models
Record Reviews
Reviewing a student's cumulative assessment file in order to make educational recommendations
Telephone Conferences
Conferencing with parents and school personnel as requested
Alternative Educational Programming
School teams may seek alternatives to residential placements for students, particularly during the middle and high school years. Parents who homeschool may also seek instructional program alternatives for which scholarships may be available. We collaborate with educators and parents to provide alternative instructional programming on-site or at the Stern Center.
